About GTF Taekwon-Do Clydebank

GTF Taekwon-Do is a great way to increase fitness, confidence and wellbeing through a syllabus structured to meet individual needs.

Formed in 1997, our club has classes for all ages from 4 years up, with weekly training sessions and monthly coaching from GTF’s Scotland Youth Development Officer.

An expanding community where all are welcome

GTF Taekwon-Do Clydebank opened in 1997. The Club is for all ages and the syllabus is structured to suit the needs of individuals of all ages.

Classes at Clydebank Community Sports Hub cover from age 4-8yrs, 8yrs+ and upwards and we have additional classes based in Drumchapel, Duntocher, Maryhill and Old Kilpatrick.

Our Vision

We aim to provide people of all ages and abilities with: • a structured and fun learning environment

  • activities that foster a sense of wellbeing both physically and mentally
  • shared experiences that build confidence through working together
  • an environment that gives mutual encouragement and support.

Supporting Local Communities

We have supported community groups such as Riddrie Day Centre by providing demonstrations on open days and for fundraising events.

If you would like a demonstration or taster session at your own event, please get in touch via our Facebook page.

Youth Development

We currently hold our Regional Training Class on the 1st Saturday of the month, were students from beginners to Black belt can come along and train and be coached from The GTF Scotland Youth Development Officer Mr McAneny 4th Degree International Instructor and members of the GTF Scotland Teams currently within the Clydebank Club.

Our Goals

We want to make Clydebank The Taekwon-Do Centre of Excellence for the West Coast of Scotland by

  • bringing National and International competitions to Clydebank
  • offering Instructors and Referees courses
  • providing Seminars from GTF Masters from around the Globe
  • providing taster sessions for all ages
  • offering self defence classes for women.

We want all our students to reach the levels that they want to achieve. This includes supporting students who wish to compete at National and International Level as well as
providing for those who simply enjoy the fitness and social elements of our classes.

All of our Coloured Belt and Blackbelt students have achieved to the highest standard in both National and International Competition.
