Glaschu Gaels GFC
Glaschu Gaels - known to most as Glasgow Gaels - are Glasgow's premier Gaelic Football club and after many years as a 'nomad' club serving as a host to Irish diaspora based across the city (and beyond) are now setting roots in the Clydebank area.
Glaschu Gaels GFC was formed in 1999 and has quickly become a GAA sporting establishment in Scotland that is a bedrock for Irish people living in Glasgow and for people of all nationalities wanting to play a bit of Gaelic football in Glasgow.
The future is bright for gaelic football in Scotland with the sport rapidly growing and we encourage anyone to come along and give our sport a go!
The club is very proud of the recent acheivement of starting an underage section, Glasgow Gaels Juniors, in Clydebank in 2014 following a significant amount of time introducing the sport in local schools. Our Juniors section has been an amazing success and our kids have done us proud every single time they have pulled on the red and white jersey. The Juniors team plan to contest in the European Cup in Madrid in October 2015!
For both the men’s and ladies’ senior teams we hope to regain Scottish senior titles and to better our previous best of an All-Britain quarterfinal finish.More importantly, Glaschu Gaels aims to establish and nurture a youth system and to become an integral part of the community of Clydebank.
